Govt. aims skill development of 50 cr people.

Government has set a target to develop skills of 50 crore people by 2022 under the National Policy on Skill Development (NPSD), Lok Sabha was informed. Minister of State for Labour and Employment Vishnu Deo Sai in a written reply said the government has distributed the above target among 20 ministries and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)."National Policy on Skill Development (NPSD), February 2009 has set a target for skilling 500 million persons by the year 2022," Sai said. Finance Ministry asks banks to engage CSCs as BCs

Meeting held between CSC e-Governance Services India Limited and Ministry of Finance regarding engagement of CSCs as BCs. The Finance Ministry has approved and asked all the Banks to expedite the engagement of CSCs as BCs across the Country.VLE shall not pay any amount to any person for engagement as a BC except the cost of biometric device. VLEs to contact the Local Branch Manager so that he can be engaged as BC for Financial Inclusion.
